NOTE FOR PERFORMERS: Pilgrim Harps have kindly agreed to make available at the Festival both a non-pedal harp and a pedal harp. Those entrants who wish to take advantage of this availability should add a comment to this effect on their entry form.

 

NOTE FOR TEACHERS: Please make sure that the piece fits the class, and that the performer is not of a higher standard than the grade of the piece.

Graded Classes

Any piece from any examination syllabus

     HP1  Grades I & II - for either Pedal Harp or Non-Pedal Harp       £4.00

Time limit: 3 minutes

 

     HP2  Grades III & IV - for Non-Pedal Harp             £4.50

Time limit: 3 minutes

 

     HP3  Grades III & IV - for Pedal Harp                       £4.50

Time limit: 3 minutes

 

     HP4  Grades V & VI - for Non-Pedal Harp              £6.00

Time limit: 5 minutes

 

     HP5  Grades V & VI - for Pedal Harp                         £6.00

Concerto Competition

The winner of this class will go forward to the CONCERTO FINAL on 13th May 2012.
The Overall winner will be awarded a prize of £500 (sponsored by Whitgift School and the Croydon Music Festival) and an opportunity to perform a complete concerto or a concerto movement with the LONDON MOZART PLAYERS chamber orchestra, the DULWICH SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA and participate in the LUNCHTIME CONCERT at the Fairfield Halls in the 2012/13 season provided the judges are satisfied that the required standard is reached. Numbers may have to be restricted in this class, and if so then a ballot will be held to decide the entrants.

   HP18                                                                                           £25.00

For those who have achieved the equivalent of Grade 8 or above.
Any movement from a Harp concerto.
Entrants must provide their own accompanist.
