The Croydon Music Festival 2010 welcomes you to take part in this year’s important Festival which is a showcase for the best of talent from the Borough of Croydon and the surrounding area.

Please read through the syllabus to check on all the variety of classes, dates and venues and ensure that you apply in time before the closing date of 5th February 2010.

This year we have an exciting new development. We are re-introducing the Advanced Concerto Classes and winners of each of the main instrumental concerto classes and the Senior Vocal class will compete at the final on Sunday May 16th for a generous prize of £500 plus a performance with the London Mozart Players, and the Surrey Philharmonic Orchestra.

We are also offering a scholarship (worth £1500) for advanced study in South Asian Music to the performer chosen by the adjudicators from amongst the winning soloists in the Hindustani and Carnatic Sections.

To Parents
Please encourage your young performers to look in on some of the many other different classes in the Festival. They learn so much from watching and listening to other performers and hearing the helpful words of the different adjudicators.
