As in previous years, the 2007
Croydon Music Festival attracted over 2 thousand entries – which
accounted for several thousand individual people performing –
such is the continued success of the Festival. Visiting many of
the different classes I thoroughly enjoyed the obvious
enthusiasm of the entrants which so characterizes this Festival.
Our syllabus sets out the wide
range of artistic disciplines – in music, dance, speech and
drama – to challenge all standards of ability. We are
particularly grateful for the excellent facilities granted to
the Festival by the Headmaster and Governors of Whitgift School.
Additionally, we also appreciate the use of Ashcroft Theatre,
Fairfield, Old Palace School, the Royal Russell School and the
Parish Church.
New for 2008: Rock, Pop and Jazz
We are fortunate to have a
loyal group of volunteers who support and run the Festival but
each year we need more, so please become involved by contacting
our Hon. Secretary.
Finally please enter our
Festival and enjoy the experience! I look forward to meeting you
there.
